Because I Love You by Tori Rigby is a beautiful story about finding love. This is not finding love with a significant other but truly finding love with yourself.
In the beginning of the book the reader meets the main character, Andie, who just found out that she is pregnant after sleeping with her best friend Carter. The author, Tori Rigby, captures the moment when someone is young and finds out they are pregnant perfectly. Andie is a likable character. She is sweet, caring, and has a huge heart while still having her own flaws.
Eventually Carter finds out that Andie is pregnant but instead of standing by his best friends side he abandons her. Andie is bullied. Andie is criticized for her decisions. Andie has to make decisions on her own. It forces her to grow up quickly and make some tough decisions. The decisions are difficult to make, but she is very brave. Andie puts on a brave face and takes it one day at a time.
Andie lost her support system due to loosing her best friends but she was able to meet two people who truly care for her and her baby. One of the friends was Neil, who is funny and sarcastic. He is able to bring the best out of Andie. The second friend is Jill who is a huge nerd. Both Neil and Jill help Andie through the difficult time.
Deep down Because I Love You is a story about a young girl who grows into something more than she ever thought she could be. It’s a story about finding love for more than one person. It’s about friendship. It’s about family. Andie’s story is genuine. It touches on sensitive subject but in a believable manner.
